About the Author
John R. VanBuskirk was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He was educated at the University of Kansas in Lawrence and received his MBA at Rockhurst University in Kansas City. He and his wife Molly have four children.
"It was a great benefit releasing my novel just as the Vatican revealed the Secret on June 26," VanBuskirk explains. "I've been on national radio, interviewed by the Washington Post, and have had newspaper articles written about my novel and experiences."
  • When asked how his assumptions regarding the infamous secret compared to the actual text, VanBuskirk replies, "My assumptions were incredibly accurate. I never thought the secret was about world-wide annihilation or a grave warning but rather an image or prophesy given by the Blessed Mother.
That's exactly what the Third Secret is!

The real secret describes the image of a Bishop dressed in white and assumed to be the Pontiff ascending a hill while being followed by priests, nuns, and religious. I wrote of a Pope ascending a mountain, however, he is followed by an mob of arrogant non-believers. In both the real Secret and my story, the Holy Father is violently put to death at the summit. My novel has him dying on the Cross while Lucia's vision has him killed under it.
  • "I urge everyone to read the actual text and assure that careful reading will not be disappointing. I also assure you that reading my novel will help you understand the relevance of its message.

I also guarantee you that a tale about a Vatican break-in and coverup, along with clandestine battles between the Church and our CIA is great entertainment."

VanBuskirk is currently finishing, TEN SECRETS OF MEDJUGORJE, a sequel (LINK below).
